Face primers review & the POREfessional by Benefit

Hellooo lovelies ☆

I am here with a review on the Benefit Cosmetics face primer the POREfessional!
I got this as a sample in Sephora and I have never tried it before even if I always was tempted.

I didn't use any kind of primer since few years ago; I didn't know a lot about them and I didn't actually know their potential! Now I am SO into primers that I am craving all of them to find the one that will work best for me.
Starting from eye primers, to lip primers to face ones, we have a lot of primers in stores out there, so you can have fun trying to find the best one for you and your skin.
But let's get into the face ones today.. I haven't tried a lot of them, the only ones I have tried are the
L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream, the Sephora Smoothing Primer and now this one from Benefit, so let's compare them! :)

All these three have that silicone feeling on skin that works for minimizing the pores and making your skin look fab and very smooth.

They are good primers but they have some downs:

L'oreal blur cream is a coloured one, so the thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't find my colour.. Unfortunately I have a pale skin and even the lightest shade didn't fit me cause it was too dark. No problem if you have a bit of a tan or you just go with medium to full foundation on top :) It lasts pretty well during the day and I really liked it!

Sephora Smoothing Primer is a transparent gel one, sooo silicone based but perfect for pore minimizing. It didn't last long on my skin, don't know if it was my skin at that time or what but it dried too much on me. I don't know if I will buy it again.

Benefit thePOREfessional is a slightly coloured one, it won't create any skin shade problem. Foundation will apply better after putting them and it lasts all day without retouching or any drying. I really loved the effect of this primer and I am going to buy it full size cause I thing is the best one I have tried for now and the price-quality ratio is pretty good! Also, it lasts so much cause you will need just a tiny teeeeny amount! :)

So, for my skin, Benefit one worked better and is the actual winner from the three for now! We'll see if some primer I will try in the future will beat it!

Just remember that primer is not a good thing for your skin. Is like pure silicone base that can block your pores and break your skin out. I recommend using the not on a daily basis but just for occasions or when you know you will need your make up to last longer.
I would use long lasting products on a daily basis and go for primers for occasions or some special days. Silicone is not a friend of skin so just remember that investing in a pore minimizing cream is more important than investing in a primer, buuuuut we all know that sometimes primer magic is the best thing we can have on a special day/night! :) Also, there are a lot of primers out there and I am so intrigued by the Too Faced face one and the SMASHBOX one which doesn't have all that silicone feel but make your make up last all day! We'll see, I will keep you update! :)

Do you use face primer? What are your favourites?
Do you wear them everyday or just ny now and then?
Let me know in the comments, I always appreciate when you write something down here!

Hope you have a great weekend and I will see you on my next post!

My fav bright pink lipsticks atm!

 Hello everyone! ♡

As you can read by the title,
I am writing to show you the hot/bright pink lipsticks that I am loving at the moment!
As it's almost summer and the sun is up, I started injecting a bit of colour and brightness in my wardrobe and also in my make up;
so what's better than a bright lipstick to warm up our faces? :)

I must say I am becoming a lil bit obsessed with lipsticks atm and I am starting collecting them with that "I want them all" mode. So yeah, you will probably hear me talking about lipsticks A LOT! lol

I have choosen 5 of my collection from different brands and also different kind and price.

Here are the lipsticks (and swatches) from left to right:

L'oreal Rouge Caresse in 07 cheeky magenta
Rimmel London by Kate Moss in 05
Essence in 08 colour crush
Mac Impassioned
Pupa I'm in 406

(natural light)

So, as you can see, they all are amaaazing colours but they, obviously, have loads of differences.
Starting from the L'oreal one; this is not properly a lipstick (at least, I won't call it like that) because is more on the "tinted balm" side but this doesn't mean that is not good. In fact I really appreciate the formula cause is a lot moisturizing and the fact that is pretty light means that is also buildable and for those days where you don't want to go all-in but you also want a nice hint of colour on your lips! Also, is the most cool-toned between the other ones.

Second one is one of my fav from drugstores because of the formulation and smell and pigmentation and price! Obviously I am talking about the Rimmel one. I love everything about their lipsticks plus they smell so nice and last long! The finish is shiny and it's a perfect shade of pink that I think could suit everyone!

Then another highstreet/drugstore one is the one from Essence. It's not my fav one but the colour is so pretty and it costs around £2 so it's pretty much a bargain. It doesn't last so long, it doesn't have the strongest pigmentation but it's so lovely and moisturizing and I am actually using it a lot that I could not mention it!

Then let's move in to my truly fav ones, the one from Pupa and from MAC (of course, mac is always a winner)! The shades are pretty similar and the formulation too.. they are amplified/mid matt and satin, they last AGES even when eating, they are really confortable on the lips and the pigmentation is just on point! Love love love them!
If you are planning on getting a bright lipsticks and you can afford a mac one, then definitely go for Impassioned cause it's just an unique colour mid pink and fuchsia and coral and it's so amazing you have to get it or, at least, try it! :)

I really hope you liked this post and maybe I gave you some inspiration about lipsticks; let me know in the comments what are your fav lipsticks for summer time so I can check them out and maybe buy them too and I will see you on my next post!

much loveee

My Magnitone LUCID experience! #7dayschallenge

Hello lovelies! ♡

Here I am with a post I am so excited to write because I am so happy to share with you something that has really changed my skin!
So I am sure you have heard about Magnitone LUCID, but as the price is not that small (still AMAZING price for what you get, I really would never regret even investing double the price!!) a lot of you may have thought: "does it really worth the hype?".
So here I am showing you what you will get and my experience with it! :)

First thing first, it comes in a great variety of colours from blue to pink to yellow and you can also do a sort of a quiz that will help you find the colour of your personality :)
(you can find the colour test here! So fun!)
I have chosen the aqua green one cause I loove this colour as you may know haha and this is what it looks like!

it has inside a charger with both the european adaptor and the uk adaptor that is actually an induction one, which is fab so there are no holes on the actual brush and it's more safe!
It also comes with a warranty activable online and a £5 discount code on any order from their site!
I think I'am going to use it for the replacement brushes :p

Once is fully charged you can take your brush, wet it a bit (it is fully water resistant!) then put on the bristles you fav skincare product (I am using the Simple moisturising facial wash atm) then simply turn on your brush and use it as a normal face brush. Magnitone Lucid is powered by Active Electromagnetic Technologic and it has electromagnetic pulsations that send rapid vibrations into skin which naturally unclog pores and sweep away dry and dead skin cells. With over 10,000 movements per minute, your skin feels amazing and is better prepared to absorb all your skincare products. It just needs 1 minute, basically 3 intervals of 20 seconds; A "beep" will notify you when the 20 seconds are over so you can change zone and then it turns off automatically at the end of the minute. This is because a minute is the perfect time to exfoliating and clean your skin without damaging it or make it too sensitive!

After using it, I rinse off all soap using my hands to remove any remaining cleanser. (Don’t forget the edges of your face and the area around your nose cause soap residue could cause unsightly breakouts). Next, dry my face by dabbing it with a towel (rubbing with a cloth can irritate, stretch and cause wrinkles on the skin) then apply a pore minimizer toner and then my moisturizer and eye cream.

I used it every day and night and since the first use I was shocked by how good it was! Now I can't imagine a time of my life without it! I am so so happy to have it in my life because my life has really changed and my skin never looked so healthy, glowy and clean! I used to have visible pores and had to fight every night to let all the make up go away from them and now I am so happy cause my skin is all cleared up and I don't even need to wear foundation to make my skin look better cause it is; it's really better and also people around me can tell it!

Do I recommend it? 101%!
It's the best thing I have ever tried on my face and it really takes a minute to change your skin!
Have you ever tried something like that? What do you think about it?
What skin care products do you use?

I really hope this post helped some of you and I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Have a lovely day!

love,
Mary

Soda & co ♡

Hello lovelies ♡

Here I am to introduce you to this sweet and lovely brand with a review on these amazing products!

Soda & co was too sweet to send me this Body Scrub and the Lip Balm to try and I've been testing and using them for a while now so I can tell you all my feelings about them!

Lip Balm:

This is an oily lip balm, it leaves your lips incredibly soft and fresh! It has a lovely scent of mint but it's not too strong; I really love the feeling of having fresh and hydrated minty lips! Only con is that it dries quickly on me, so if you have very very dry lips as I have, you will need to apply it more than once, but it's not that bad as applying it is so fun! :)

There are a lot of different scents on the site and every pot contains 10g of product! It is A LOT!

Then moving into the most amazing piece, we have the body scrub!
I am obsessed with body scrubs and as I saw this in my mail box I was so so happy and excited to try it! The scent I got is Pink Lemonade and I am so so glad I got this cause the smell, to me, is like heaven!

It is rich of oils and natural ingredients so everything is more than amazing. You just need to grab a tiny bit of scrub and it will leave your skin amazingly soft!
If you're a scrub-lover like me, you can't really miss this piece in your collection!
Plus the packaging is so cute that it won't bring you down!

I really hope I helped you with this post and hope you've enjoyed my little review! I'm always excited to try new products and when they work perfectly I am mor glad to write it here and share it with you!

I really hope you're having a lovely evening!

See you on the next post!

February Favourites ♡

Hello everyone! ♡

It's March! Don't even ask me HOW it is already March.. I have that feeling that yesterday was Christmas and now I can't tell it's March, but anyway Feb has been a buuusy month and I didn't get a lot but here are my Feb Favs! :)

First thing is a candle that my mom bought me at the supermarket, it's called Suddenly and it smells heavenly. It legit smells like Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel which I love! I was so surprised cause the smell is identical! So fresh and lovely ♡

As you could see I have been obsessed with skincare-stuff and one of the things I am obsessed with is the Garnier Roll-on caffeine. It's great to wake your eyes up in the morning and the metallic sphere on top is just heaven for under eyes. Putting it on is more fun than putting under eyes creams.

For make up remover I have been using this biphasic one by Yves Rocher; It's so gentle and removes any eye make up (also waterproof eyeliners or mascaras)! It's the king and you have to.. shake it off!

Tart of the month has been the Shea Butter one! I basically burn this everytime I want to relax and make my room smell fresh and cleaned! Go sniff it at your local YC store! ♡

Dry lips always get me mad, but I found a cure and it's all natural and delicious! It's the Hurraw! lip balm in chai spice (if you love chai then go grab it and you will want to eat it all! haha) but there are many and many flavours! You can find these at American Apparel for around £5/6 eur!
And for bath, I have been looooving Stvdio 5 brand! Their things are just amazing!
This bath truffle and the rose soap smell like heaven to me, I just can't wait to have a long bath with their lovely and 100% natural bath bombs! Go check them out on their site ♡

Last but not least, lipsticks!
There two lovely shades are 06 and 14 from the Essence brand. They're so cheap but so good! 06 is also the perfect Pantone-colour-of-the-year lipstick!

Hope you enjoyed my favs.
What have you been loving lately?
Do you have one of these things and what do you think about them?
Leave a lovely comment for making me smile and I will see you on the next post!

Bleach London: how I dye my hair!

Hello lovelies! ❤

As I got so many questions about my pastel ends when I got them and as I just was in the mood of dying my ends again, I decided to make a post about the process and the products I use.

As you can see, the products that I usually use are the Bleach London super cool colours and the reincarnation mask (I also like to use La Riche directioner and Stargazer ones but Bleach London products are way better for me!)

To reach the peachy-pastel-pink I love I use a mix of Rosè and Awkward Peach (they are my favs from the range! 5 stars colours!) I usually do the mix trying to mix two parts of pink and one of peach. The colours are already pastel so you don't need to add other conditioner or somthing! :)

It's so so so easy and the products smell so good that you will want to dye your hair again and again! Also Bleach London products didn't damage my hair at all, they like "nourish" my hair and this is why I love them. Hair feels soft and not dry at all!

Then I apply the mix straight into my ends with the use of this brush (you can get the brush and a mixing bowl similar to this into the total bleach kit or any other store). I leave it up for 20-25mins then rinse well and don't shampoo! Then I apply the reincarnation mask to my ends and leave it for 10 mins and rinse well. Then simply blow dry.

And this is the result! Obviously I have ombre hair so the ends were already bleached and light, so this is why the colour is so true and pastel. If you don't have bleached hair I suggest you to bleach them first with one of the kits.. You can bleach just the part you want to colour. If you don't want to bleach your hair, you can just choose a darker shade like purple or dark green and it will end up less bright but still a good colour.

If you have any questions please leave me a comment. Also if you want me to talk about what I think of the colours of the range and what I tried and the result I got, let me know. What do you think of dying your hair in crazy colours?

Hope you have a lovely evening!

Things that you will love: STVDIO 5 ♡

Hello everybody! ♡

I had some problems with my wifi connection and busy uni days, but here I am!
How have you been?
Today I'm here to talk about a wonderful brand: STVDIO 5!
They were so so lovely to send me this box of goodies and I really hope you'll love everything as much as I do! :)

I wish you could smell my room right now: it smells like sweets! Look at all the things that were in the box! Everything was wrapped with love and care in these striped bags and, let's be honest, don't you love when you receive something and it's lovely wrapped? It makes you feel loved.
I don't know, maybe it's just me but when it comes to packaging and everything, you totally get me.

I'll show you everything in detail and (as you couldn't love them more) everything is 100% vegan and natural.. this is a BIG thumbs up! I really love when things work amazingly and at the same time they are good for your skin. We put (a lot of) make up almost everyday but we don't have to forget that behind that make up layer, there's skin, there's us.. so we have to take care of our skin as much as we do for our body. Eat well, sleep well and give natural food to your skin too.
Okay, telling-off done. haha.
Here's the fist thing. Omg.. I don't even have words to describe it. You will NEVER think it's a soap. I am actually holding back from eat it! It smells like strawberry and vanilla and it's absolutely a piece of art. I have to order another one beause I don't think I will ever use it as I don't want to destroy it haha

Second thing is a bath bomb! If you are a Lush lover, then you will probably end up loving stvdio 5 bath bomb more! They are 100% SLS free, containing only natural and premium ingredients. I absolutely loooove them. My skin was so soft after the bath and the smell is so nice and calmin. You will need this for a very special pampering night!

Then one of the things that went straight to my favs of all time. This 100% natural hand cream!
It's a little bit liquidy and I thought it would have leaved that oily sensation but I was wrong! It's amazing, dries quickly and completely. Your hands will just feel amazingly soft and nourished. I don't use other hand creams and I actually put a bit of it in a small pot to bring it with me in my bag! It has glycerin and aloe vera extract to help keep the skin as hydrated as possible and to increase elasticity. Aloe vera contains vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and B12, vitamin C and E, folic acid and niacin. It helps provide oxygen to the skin, which further strengthens the tissue. It is also silicone and paraben-free! It doesn't have any particular fragrance but it's just a lovely thing because natural things have to smell of anything but what it contains so no fragrance and colourants is the best!

Another thing I am loving so much and that I needed is this nail butter! As it's freezing inside and ouside you will probably find it solid and a bit hard to work but I usually put it near the fireplace or radiators for few seconds and it will be perfect! It smells so good because it have Aloe in it and because of Aloe and Vitamin E your cuticles will be super hydrated; it was just the thing I needed. And also your nail will feel hydrated and healthy too and this is a great thing because I usually hate the fact that during winter my nails are so fragile and tend to break. I'm so happy now because I feel like I have new nails too and I can keep them growing healty and prevent the rift. This thing is precious!

And then a lovely cupcake.. hahah if I'd see this in a buffet I'd surely eat it but as it's presented as a bath related thing I'm holding back to do it telling myself it's just a cute shaped soap. Actually this is a face soap with gentle scrub. I have been using it for days now and it works amazingly! My skin looks healthier, bright and soft! It contains 100% natural and rich ingredients including olive, coconut and almond oils. It of course smells amazing and delicate! It doesn't even irritate your eyes as it's so gentle on your skin.

And for the "things I will never use as it's so beautiful" we have this amazing soap!
Look at this!! This is art in a soap, not even kiddin!
I'm currently struggling because I want to use it so bad and don't want to ruin it too. I'm weird, I know. hahaha It smells so nice though! It smells like fresh lemon, sweet orange and a soft touch of mint! I have it in a box in my room and I can smell it trough my room! It's so lovely!

Last but not least, in this striped bag we have deodorant! Mind blowing cause it works well and it's natural too, made with flour!! It has no alcohol so it doesn't damage your skin as a lot of spray deodorants could do. No fragrance but it's good for your skin!

So? I'm sure you will love all this things and they have a lot lot more on their amazing site here --> Stvdio5! They have things for ladies, boys and now they also have an amazing home section with soy candles! Amazing! I am not payed at all for saying this things but I genuinely love them, their products and their natural philosophy!
You can check them out also in their social media!

I really hope you liked this post and let me know in the comments what is the item you liked the most or if you will buy something or there is something from the site that you like!
I really hope you will have a lovely day and I will see you on the next post!

January Favourites ♡

Hello lovelies! ♡

It's Feb and that means just one thing: Jan Favourites! :D

I didn't buy a lot of new things this month but I quite discovered things I already owned and that I didn't used a lot recently.
One of these things is the Bourjois Healthy Mix in 51 Vanilla!
I didn't liked it at all when I bought it cause it was too thick and I didn't liked how it worked and, a part from the lovely smell, I used to leave it on a side thinking that it didn't like my skin.
Recently I tried to give it another chance and it surprised me! Basically I love it now and I've been using it a lot this month, almost everyday I think. It is perfect for a dewy look, great for dry skin (I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin at all) and I just think I didn't like it at first cause I have changed my skin routine and now my skin is a bit more hydated and it works really well with it. The coverage is buildable but you can have a medium coverage with just one layer. It doesn't last 16hours as it says, obviously, but it stays on place with a good powder on top for like six hours.
But I think it's great for a high street foundation.

Then I have rescovered berry-burgundy eyeshadows and I've been love these two a lot!
The first one is from KIKO and it's a loveluy berry-red-coppery shade which is really pretty and makes blue eyes pop up (just saying.. blue eyed girls take note!) and then the second one is from the Vamp line by PUPA and it's a cream one, more brown-burgundy but it looks so pretty; has little shimmers in it and lasts really really long! I also love it as a base for others eyeshadows! Preeetty!

On to the lips I've been using a lot these two lipsticks; one from KIKO again and it's a lovely dark red and the second one, which it's not properly autumnal but I used it a lot this month, is the L'oreal caresse in Dating Coral, a wonderful coral that doesn't last very long and it's pretty creamy but also a lot moisturizing!

How not to mention my best friend in these Jan cold days: Labello lip butter. It smells amazing, feels amazing on the lips and the little pot is just too cute!

I also have two hair products in the favs of the month and the first is this hair repairing spay with keratin from Avon; it's a 7 in 1 spray that you can apply both on wet and dry hair and then you basically brush it and you're done, the hair feels so soft, healthy and moisturized and smells so good too. Totally helped me a lot cause I had very dry ends but since I've been using this combined with the mask and the shampoo, my hair is like resurrected.

The second one is this AMAZING mask from Bleach London for dyed and bleached hair; as you may or may not know I have ombre hair, which means my ends have been bleached so damaged but my hair looks totally different when I apply this mask and this is why I adore it! You just need a little bit and you'll feel your hair so soft as soon as you put it on, it's magical! If you ever need a good mask for your hair, I'd definitely recommend this to you. It costs nothing for what it does and really lasts you aaages.

So these were the things I've been loving this month!
Do you have one of this things and what to you thing about them? What have you been loving during Jan?

Hope you're having a great day and I will see you on the next post!

(Next post will be GREAT! I'm so excited cause I have some wonderful things to show you so.. stay tuned!)
