Spin for Perfect Skin | VP | Review

It's been a while, my messy life brought me away from the webbernet for a bit but now I am ready to start dedicationg more time to the things I love, again. 

I hope you're doing well and I hope you are excited as me for this season cause the most beautiful time of the year is so close!!

But why am I here today? To talk about my new best friend which is the Spin For Perfect Skin by Vanity Planet which was kindly sent to me for try and review and that has been my bff ever since it came in my mail box!

First of all let's see what it is. Spin for pefect skin is a cleansing and exfoliating brush battery powered system that cleanses and exfoliates to reveal radiant skin, removes bacteria to promote visibly clearer skin and reduces pore size so skin appears smoother and brighter. 

With the kit you have the brush and four attachment heads that are great for face and body.

This big one is the body brush, I love the fact that there's an actual brush specifically made for body so you can extend the benefit of a deep cleaning to your entire body. I use it combined with a light sugar scrub and it's perfect size for arms and legs. Don't need to say that my skin feels amazingly soft after that! The brush is made for dry and shower usage so you can easily use it under the shower or having a bath :)

Then we have the exfoliating face brush made of hygianic and quick-drying bristles that is great for gently exfoliate your skin once you have wipes you make up off and cleaned your face with the clensing brush (next picture) made of ultra-soft bristles that is great for sensitive skin; I use it to cleanse and also to apply moisturizer and it feels really great. These two combined make my skin breathe again and you can really tell the difference both in the appearance of the skin and in the make up application cause it gives you a smooth and radiant skin.

Last but not least I was surprised to see that there was a pumice stone head! This is great to remove calluses and dead skin from you elbows, knees and feet. Of course is not made for facial skin but I was glad to see that there was a pomice stone too in the set cause it really meand that, with this brush, you can clean you entire body.

With the brush at the moment I am using the Robert's Acqua alle Rose cleanser but you can use you favourite products to use with.

I honestly didn't expect it to be this good but I am 100% happy with it and I will use it everyday as my skin has changed in better!

My Fav Autumn/Fall Lipsticks [Lip Swatches]

As you can see from the title, I decided to share with you what are my favourite lipsticks for fall/autumn as I am so in love with this season I need to share everything about it! hehe

As you can tell, I couldn't choose just two or three haha but that's fine cause at least you can see a variety of colors and shades and decide which one is you favourite or what would be your choice o wear. 

So from top to down (on the arm swatches) we have:

• Rimmel Kate Moss 111 
• Rimmel Kate Moss 107
• NYX medusa
• NABLA domina
• TOPSHOP lip bullet in More Than A Woman
• KIKO smart lipstick in 914
• MAC mehr
• Essence 06 Barely There

First one I have here is the Essence in 06 - Barely There! 

It's a perfect everyday mauve shade, perfect Pantone - marsala colour. It is very moisturizing and feels like you're putting on lip balm: as it's like that, it doesn't last very long but, again, it's fine cause reapplying it is so easy.

Second one on the "nudes/everyday shades" side, is on of my favourite mac lipsticks which is mehr! 

I don't have a lot to say, it's is matte but doesn't dry my lips, it is the perfect my lips but better colour, lasts ages even when eating/drinking and it is just perfect for an everyday simple look and also for darks and intense smoky eyes looks. 

Let's jump straight into the darks and intense colours which are my favourite!

This one here is NYX medusa, it is really purple, it is shiny so that means it is moisturizing but doesn't set on the lips all day, it is a bit metallic but I think it's a great colour for this season if you want your lips to really stand out.

Here we have KIKO 914 smart lipstick; moisturizing but long lasting (it won't resist a whole dinner but it lasts a really long time on me), the colour is full and it is the perfect dupe for MAC rebel. 

More on the cherry side but, again, great great easy to wear colour!

This one I get asked A LOT about and it's personally one of my top favourites!

It's the TOPSHOP lip bullet in More Than A Woman. I have been loving it ever since I first swatched it! Topshop beauty range is really good and I especially love the lipsticks, lasts a long time, it's is matte but doesn't dry on the lips and doesn't go into fine lines, the colour is even and full and it is basicallt autumn in a lipstick.

Really similar to the topshop one is the NABLA domina lipstick. Same things as the topshop one, it is really perfect: I love the colour, I love the formula, it is also vegan and cruelty free and lasts really long time even eating/drinking. Really moisturizing and it is buildable and gets darker and darker looking always even. The finish is semi-matt!

Last, but not least, we have the reds!

How I could not mention this one here? The Rimmel Kate Moss in 107 has been one of my fav lipsticks to wear since years. It is matte, lasts really long, the colour is amazing, it goes with every skin tone I believe, looks great with a lot of eye makeup looks, it is cheap and it's the perfect dark red/burgundy shade. Simply a MUST HAVE!

And for the Rimmel Kate Moss obsession we have the 111 which is a beautiful cool toned true red, matte, long lasting, the classic Taylor Swift red. You can't really feel it on the lips and the smell of the matte collection is so lovely too, it's like fruity. If you fancy a red lipstick and don't know which one to choose, just buy this one cause it is really good and cheap and it won't let you down for sure!

Autumn Makeup & Favs

Hello my lovelies ♡

It is nearly autumn and I can smell it in the air so I'm pretending my fav season has already started!

 I just can't wait to see the city covered in brown leaves and wearing hats and scarves while outside the stores are putting fairylights outside and everywhere is all pumpkin spice lattes and smiles! :)

As I am getting into the autumnal spirit I have started wearing a lot of autumnal colours both on the clothes and on the makeup, so - along with a makeup look video - I decided to show you what I am enjoying the most in these days and what I am loving to put on almost everyday! x

 

 

• As you may know, the foundation I am using a lot is the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. I love it a lot, it has a great coverage, it's very light and my skin looks fresh and healthy almost all day whenever I put this on! I didn't think I would have put my beloved NARS sheer glow in a side but there it is, Too Faced conquered me!
•  As I am pale as a ghost during fall, I am loving the Too Faced chocolate soleil bronzer cause it is light but buildable, it smells of chocolate (yuuum) and it is in a perfect shade to warm up the yellowy-looking face!
• For blusher I am really loving strong colours like this red. Yes, I said red and I never imagined myself wearing a colour like that but I tried it on and I felt in love! [Yes, you have to be careful unless you'll end up looking like Santa Claus :) haha]
• Nail polishes: I am really loving both browns and light pinks and berry shades like these two by kiko which are the number 243 and 363.
• The eyeshadow I am loving the most is this one by NABLA in Rust; it's an amazing and vibrant bronze shade that works really great with blue eyes as well. L O V E.
• Lipsticks: the shades I am wearing and loving the most are the beloved Rimmel Kate Moss in 107 and NABLA domina lipstick. The 107 is more on the red side and Domina is more on the berry/purple side. Both really amazing, both matte and longlasting.
• And last but not least, the mascara I am wearing all days is the They're Real by Benefit. I am back at it since months and reloved how builds up my lashes again, it's really amazing! Only down is that is SO hard to take it off at night (you will need oil based makeup removers)!

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Review and Swatches! ♥

Today I have an exciting post for you as I am talking about the new Too Faced Born This Way foundation which I have been excited about ever since the news about it came out!

If you want to buy it you can do it from their online store here or in Sephora or any store that has a Too Faced counter!

So let's see what are the shades, what I think about them and how I feel about them!

 

First of all they came out in this GORGEOUS pink bag! This is so so cute and I will bring it with me everywhere! Inside we have all the 12 shades that are in the stores now (they will come out with another 6 shades - three darker and three lighter - in autumn). 

The foundation sounds like a dream:

• Medium-to-full undetectable coverage
• Oil-free
• Coconut Water helps delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels without overhydrating for the look of radiant skin
• Infused with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
• Hyaluronic Acid helps balance skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance

 

The bottle is amazing! I love the frost packaging with the gold, and the golden TF on the cup make it just perfect and elegant AND it has a pump!! YES, Too Faced, you know how to make things!!

[Note: This pump works for the Nars sheer glow too!]

Everything is so nice and elegant and like a dream but let's see the perks and the pitfalls!

 

The perks:

It is an amazing foundation

Hydrates the skin

Skin really looks better after

You can get a medium coverage and layer

Looks incredibly natural

Blends really well

Stays all day (I had it on from 8am and at midnight it was still there)

Provides a great dewy and natural look

The Pitfalls:

This is not a foundation for everyone, by that I mean that if you have oily skin or you don't like dewy look foundation then this could not be perfect for you.

I have been trying it now that is summer so I will see how it works in winter but as it tends to get shiny, if you have oily skin I think you will have a problem.

Then other pitfall is for the colour range that unfortunately will not suit anyone, but they will add more shades so if you can't find your perfect match, just wait and you'll be satisfied! :)

Porcelain - Ivory - Vanilla - Nude - Warm Nude - Light Beige - Natural Beige - Warm Beige - Sand - Golden - Honey - Caramel

As I have a very dry skin for me this foundation is heaven in a bottle but I would recommend you to try it before buy it and get a sample so you can see how it works on your skin and what is the best match for you! This is an incredible foundation but if you have very oily skin and it doesn't work for your skin then it could be a nightmare (but this is for any liquid foundation if you have very oily skin) so, as always, try it! If you have dry skin then run at the first store and GET IT and.. tell them YOU WERE BORN THIS WAY!! :)

Easy Smoothie Recipe

Here I am today with another quick and easy recipe, great for breakfast!

 

I have bought the blend-active blender and since than I have been enjoying making myself smoothies as it's so so easy and quick to make them. Here's the recipe I have been doing lately!

Peach Banana Smoothie

1 banana

1 peach 

1 spoon of yogurt

a dash of almond milk

chia seeds

I just chop the fruit and put the pieces in the blender, then add the yogurt and milk.

Blend everything in and the mix chia seeds in it!

Chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. 

They are loaded with nutrients that can have important benefits for our body and brain. 

They don't have a flavour so you can literally add them in everything like smoothies, salads or just plain yogurt.. wherever you want! 

They are so small but what they do to us is so big! 28 grams of chia seeds contain:

• Fiber: 11 grams.
• Protein: 4 grams.
• Fat: 9 grams (5 of which are Omega-3s).
• Calcium: 18% of the RDA.
• Manganese: 30% of the RDA.
• Magnesium: 30% of the RDA.
• Phosphorus: 27% of the RDA.
• They also contain a decent amount of Zinc, Vitamin B3, Potassium, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B2.

What's the point? #NoMoreHate

As you can see from the title I am here to talk about an important topic cause not only I have been into it but cause a lot of people get free hate everyday and I just can't accept it. I use to say "be kind one to another" all the times but people just seem to love hate, be mean and wreck people's day, which sometimes can turn into wreck people's life. That's the strong power of words. I don't get that, I don't see the point in giving free hate. If you don't like someone then bugger off, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't speak at all. What's the point in being rude and mean? At least, what is the point in being like that hidden behind a nickname? We keep forgetting that we are all human, we all have feelings and to be nice one to another is a thing that could help a lot of lives. You will never know what someone is struggling for and most of the times you will never know, so just try to be gentle, be kind and be respectful. Life is beautiful only if we can live it the right way. Getting hate is never a great experience; and by getting hate I don't mean getting constructive comments (of course people can disagree with you in something or don't like something or help you getting other points of view) but just mean, pointless and awful comments like "I hate you", "bitch", "you don't have your own soul", "you're just copying her", "get a life", "kill yourself", "ugly", "be you" and so on. Comments based on nothing, posts based on mean thoughts that are not true at all directed to a person that they don't even know. Judging, lying and hate are the things that annoy me the most. You can't judge people for a phrase, a picture, a name, a skin colour, a culture.. You simply can't. There's a big whole world behind everyone and no one will probably see it all. Everyone has their own battle to fight, their insecurities, diseases, fears, points of view and you can't pretend to know someone just looking at the cover of the book of their lives. I don't want to be specific with all the hate I get sometimes and why, buta lot of you may know it and I tried to explain my point of view so many times that I am just sick of having to justify the fact of being myself. It's like that it happens that you look a bit like a well know person then you can be you only by liking different things or you can't do anything without getting "copycat" comments in literally everything. I mean, a lot of people, for example, wear hair in a bun but if it's up to me then no, I am just copying someone. Sometimes I feel like I can't buy something I genuinely like or post a picture of myself because mean people will start saying that I am pretending to be someone else and copying everything and that I have to get a life. This IS my life. This IS me, all the times. People don't realize that I couldn't be anyone but myself, that there's no point in copying as I am trying so hard to put me in everything but sometimes is so hard to let people see what's inside the book and not just the cover that can be mispelled by people. There are moments that everything is just too much and you just want to give up on everything but no, don't do it, be strong and keep pushing. I won't stop myself doing what I want to do or liking what I like or wear what I want to wear just because people don't know anything about me and will comment things being just mean. I try my best to ignore bad words cause I can't change the way some people think, but I just don't like it. Who would like that? If we can just spend a minute thinking about that before leaving a comment or judge people, it would probably help in not doing it. If you find a point in hate please tell me cause I can't find it! Hate less, love more. Is nice being nice, it's good making people smile but it's awful making people upset. Share more love and the world could be a different place. And to all of you that get hate, no matter if once or everyday, just be strong, react, smile, mentally block those mean people, do what makes you happy and just don't care about anything else but being happy with what you are. 

You are beautiful and precious the way you are, let no hate destroy you!

Pain demands to be felt.

"When you loose someone you love, they move into a special place in your heart."

I have a blog but I don't want to call it a blog, it's more like a diary. I use to share things I like or do, materialistic things for the most but just cause it's the place where I just sit and share things to escape the reality, give myself a little time to write about things I like and that can help someone, that I enjoyed during a month and so on.. But my life is not only made of these things. There are a lot of things behind a person, a big world is hidden behind a smile or a positive post or a 10 minutes long video. You will never know what someone is struggling for as there are so many things that don't always need to be shared or said or done and things that you know you have to fight by yourself. But sometimes it happens that you just feel the need.. The need to write about something more personal, to let people know that life is not easy for anyone. To help people realize that, if this has happened to you, then you're not alone, you're not mad, it's just cause you have a heart and it is the most delicate part of us; there is so much pain in the world that, sometimes, I ask myself what is worth living. Everything can change in a minute, you could have everything or nothing, gain happiness or just loose everything; almost like you play in a casino. But some things are irreversible.. You can't go back, you can't have someone back and you're just alone. This is how I feel right now: alone. I have lost more than a half of my life, the most wonderful thing I had; I feel like my heart is about to die, don't know how much sorrow a heart can bear. I feel like suffocating, it's devastating. My dog was the only one that was with me 24/7, she was my best friend, I used to tell her everything, hug her when I was sad, joy with her when I was happy.. She was always there and by always I mean always. She never said "no" to me, she was always looking after me and I looked after her till the very end. A dog can give you everything, a lot more than you can ever imagine but then it left an immense hole in your life that no one and nothing can ever cover it up. I feel lost, walking around my house like a zombie and I can't find the strenght to go ahead and live. I know I have to be strong, I know I always try to be positive and help people fight the struggle of life being positive but sometimes the truth is that you have to accept that the pain is real, that needs to be felt and lived and there's no positivity that can help you in that. It's all about the time. Time will find a cure, it will never ever let you forget the people you loose but it will give you the strenght to remember them during the happy moments of your life together and rememeber it smiling. The only thing I need right now is to know that she is here somehow, with me, as usual. I didn't know how much pain this would have bring with it, I wish it was just a nightmare. I couldn't sleep tonight, my mind won't stop thinking and my eyes won't stop crying. I didn't even know how much tears could be in my eyes.. I feel like I have been crying for too long but it's never enough. And I know I shouldn't cry that much but the truth is that I need it. I need to feel the pain all at once, I need to cry and feel devastating cause it's just me being myself and you can't control yourself when things are way bigger than you. I wish there was a time machine, I could pay everything to just one day back with her; it breaks my heart to know that I will never see her again, I will come back home to nothing and she won't be by my side, I will not be able to stroke her again and feel her heartbeat. I will not fall asleep with her paw in my hand but I truly wish that she is with me even if I can't see her. We are so ignorant about life and death, we don't know why things happen, why there's no justice, why there is so much pain and negativity around the world; we don't know if there is something after death but I need to believe it right now. I can't imagine loosing her forever, I better imagine her with me forever. This must be like that. I can feel her with me, don't know if I am going crazy or not but I can feel her and I hope she will give me more signs. I have to be strong, I will one day but today it's just the worst day of my life. A lot of awful things happened to me but I always knew they were a 7 or 8 on a 1 to 10 scale of pain. I just reserved the 10 for this, hoping that this day would have never come. But life really sucks sometimes and now I have nothing; I have to build my life again trying to find the strenght to keep holding on. And I hope she is listening to me while I'm saying: now that you're just a little angel by my side, please, give me the strenght to go ahead. I feel lost and incredibly alone. I miss you, I will always miss you and I promise I will never forget you. Goodbye, it's not the end; I will always love you more than anyone else my little friend, my little heart. 

Thank you for the amazing world that you gave me and all the happiness that you brought in my life since I was 9. You choose me and I choose you for life. 

You will always be remembered. 

Rest in peace only love of my life.

NUDE dude by theBalm - review and swatches

As you can tell I am back with a post about the absolutely beautiful Nude Dude palette by theBalm ♡ 

 

I'm sure everyone have heard about theBalm amazing make up range and this palette, which is the second one of a NUDE "series" that includes the first one called Nude tude that has more browny shades in it! This one as you can tell is a bit more cool toned and pinkier; I think this is perfect for every skin tones, even for palest skins cause you can't go wrong with golden-pinky-browns shades!

 

First thing first: look at the packaging! TheBalm are most famous for their packagings cause they are really amazing and I love everything is "vintage style"! Here in the Nude dude palette we have six types of dude (hehe) and everyone is special!

You get a huge mirror, a super handy packaging (only thing is that the packging is made of cardboard so you have to be careful not to stain it as it's so beautiful it would be awful! I know, I have an obsession!), a double brush and 12 wonderful eyeshadows, all very very pigmented and long lasting!

Here are the shades and the swatches! :)

• Fearless: matte butter shade, I love it to prime my lid or just as a base colour for days you just want to do eyeliner and mascara.
• Flawless: great light brown matte shade, perfect for the crease and even for eyebrows.
• Firm: frost darker brown 
• Flirty: frost purple/burgundy shade
• Friendly: matte deep purple/wine shade
• Fierce: shimmery black
• Fablulous: frost, almost duo chrome, white shade with a lot of gold in it, perfect for highlighting
• Faithful: light frost gold
• Fit: frost copper
• Feisty: amazing matte rusty shade, love it in the crease
• Funny: frost burgundy shade
• Fine: shimmery deep brown

My fav colours (most used) are: Fiesty, Fit and Faithful!
